Beetroot hummus is a family favourite here and for good reason! This bright pink hummus recipe is a one-stop nutritional hit thats packed with protein, iron and with beetroot is proven to reduce blood pressure with moderate amounts of salt.

Ingredients

  • 1 large beet, boiled
  • 240g chickpeas, drained
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2tsp himalayan pink salt
  • 1/4tsp ground black pepper
  • 1tsp miso paste
  • 4tbsp or more of water
  • 1tbsp tahini

Method

Skin on is always best! Boil for 20 minutes in water.

When the beetroot has cooled down, blend all of the ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender and serve!
